The Missouri Annual General Membership Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, October 21st at 12:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at Jefferson City High School. It is important that all clubs have a member at the meeting. No club packets will be handed out prior to the meeting. MISSOURI USA WRESTLING will host a bronze and copper clinic during the fall meeting weekend. This is MISSOURI USA Wrestling's continuing effort to provide opportunities for our coaches to expand and enhance their knowledge of wrestling. The copper clinic is also a required course as part of the process to obtain a Coaches card and coach at the State Folkstyle Championships. All coaches need to have taken and passed the copper certification and attend a rules meeting this year in order to purchase a coaches card. All coaches who attended and passed, and who also show their copper card, will not have to retake that clinic this year, but all coaches must attend one of the rules meetings every year. BRONZE CERTIFICATION CLINIC MISSOURI USA WRESTLING will be sponsoring a Bronze-Level Coaches Certification class on Saturday, October 20th. The class will be held in conjunction with the High School Coaches Association and our annual general membership meeting. This is MISSOURI USA Wrestling's continuing effort to provide opportunities for our coaches to expand and enhance their knowledge of wrestling. The information offered at the Bronze course covers a variety of wrestling related topics including: coaching philosophy, risk management, program development, psychology of coaching, wrestling skills, training and nutrition, and sports medicine. The important information is as follows: Where: Jefferson City High School Times: 8-12 and 1-4 (approx.) Lunch will be from 12-1 (not provided) Cost: $85. This includes the material needed for the class, a Bronze Coach's card and Bronze Certificate, and a Bronze Certified Coaches Shirt (allow 3-4 weeks for delivery from USA WRESTLING), following successful completion of the test after the clinic. This cost also includes the cost of your USA WRESTLING Coaches Card for the 2001-2002 season. This clinic does not fulfill your obligation to attend the rules meeting as part of the procedure to purchase a coaches card in Missouri and coach at the State Folk style Championships. There will be a rules meeting on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. that will satisfy the state's requirements. In order to anticipate and prepare for the turnout, advance notice of your participation is required.
