USA Wrestling seeks proposals for Merchandise Department

USA Wrestling the National Governing Body for wrestling in the US is exploring the possibility of soliciting bids for the rights to operate the merchandising arm of the organization.    The company who is awarded the winning bid must demonstrate an extensive and working knowledge of wrestling equipment and apparel; a plan that would lend to the fiscal viability of USA Wrestling, and present a dynamic delivery and marketing system.    The USA Wrestling Merchandising department yields $1.1 million in annual sales. These sales are generated through the following avenues:  Event Sales  Consignment Sales  Catalog/Mail Order Sales  Internet/Web site Sales  Team/Staff Sales    Bid prospects should kindly submit the following:    1. A one-page plan on how to increase sales and profitability for each of the aforementioned areas, without increasing current sale prices on wrestling equipment and apparrel.    2. A proposal on the financial benefit provided to USAW for exclusive rights to sell merchandise.    3. An accountability system including frequency and form that discloses sales, cost of sales and net profit.    4. The number of personnel and their qualifications needed to deliver the above sales avenues.    5. A resume of the company's experience in doing merchandising for event, consignment, catalog, and internet/web site sales.    Finally please present a philosophy statement of your business and how it parallels with the mission and values of USA Wrestling.    USA Wrestling reserves the right to select the company of its choice based on all the criteria and the individual merits of each proposal, which will be completely at USA Wrestling's discretion.
