View the following clips from the video: Arch Through Fireman's Carry Head Shuck One of USA Wrestling's most popular and unique video series are the tapes that focus solely on World Level competition. The FILA Technique Tapes are not focused on a singular set of techniques. Rather, the tapes show the best technique from the World Championships. In the '99 World Championships video nearly 50 different techniques are highlighted in the tape. Techniques from the world's elite wrestlers are shown in a unique format that can be quickly shown in a practice room. Each technique is shown at normal speed. Than, the technique is shown in slow motion, followed by another airing of the technique at regular speed. Coaches who are looking for a way to integrate video into their practices should seriously look at using the FILA Technique videos. The commentary on the technique is very limited, so coaches can instruct on key points to their athletes as they view the movements. The matches that World Championships produce are absolutely astounding. In the '99 tape viewers can see Lincoln McIlravy's dominant knee block from an underhook against Daniel Igali of Canada. Other Americans featured on the tape include Joe Williams and World Champion Les Gutches. The tape is full of takedowns from a variety of positions. Also, shown are a number of counter attacks. For coaches who want to use the tape with their scholastic wrestling practices only ten of the techniques are from the par terre position. Each year the World Championships crown the best wrestlers internationally. The action produce in these contentious matches makes for great viewing on the FILA Technique tapes.
