Randy Baker named USA Wrestling Developmental Coach of the Year

Randy Baker of Lakefield, Minn. was named 2001 USA Wrestling State Chairperson of the Year. The award honors the top coach in the nation working with age-group wrestlers and programs.    Baker currently serves as the Developmental Coach for Minnesota/USA Wrestling, which has one of the best state developmental programs in the nation. He has significant experience in USA Wrestling's programs and activity on many levels for many years.    He has served as the head freestyle coach for the Minnesota team at the Cadet Nationals since 1995. He has also been a member of the Minnesota Junior National Team coaching staff since 1991. Baker has also been the coach for Minnesota's Junior Duals team over the last five years.    Baker was named the Minnesota/USA Wrestling Coach of the Year in 1991. He was also named the Minnesota/USA Wrestling Club Leader of the Year in 2000, for his efforts with the Flat Earth Wrestling Club in Lakefield.
