83.5 Pounds Mike Bizzle (Oklahoma) dec. Brett Land (California) 4-3, OT. Bizzle avenges his loss to Land in the Greco finals by forcing overtime with a tilt at the buzzer. Bizzle took down Land with 30 seconds remaining in overtime. 88 Pounds Ryan Adams (Minnesota) dec. Nick Gallick (Arizona) 4-2. Trailing 2-1 with 10 seconds remaining, Adams pulled a slight upset knocking off Gallick, and got landed a three point move to take the lead late in the match. 94.5 Pounds Anthony Easter (West Virginia) dec. Josh Hanson (Minnesota) 9-6. Easter trailed 6-4 with 30 seconds remaining and hit a gutwrench to tie the score. Seconds later he lifted Hanson, exposing him for three more on his way to the title. 103.5 Pounds Bryan Nunziato (New Jersey) dec. Charlie Falck (Minnesota) 8-5. Jumping used a cradle to jump out to a 5-0 lead. Falck battled back, getting a three point dump to score three points at the break. Falck then tied it with a gutwrench before Nunziato stepped over and held Falck on his back for the remainder of the match, taking the points and a three point victory. 112 Pounds Dustin Schlatter (Ohio) dec. Mark McKnight (Pennsylvania) 8-0. Schlatter doubled as a champion, beating McKnight for the second time in the finals this week. He jumped out to a 7-0 first period lead and cruised, scoring a takedown late. The championship is his seventh freestyle championship, six in the Kids Divisions and his first in the Cadet Division. 121 Pounds Michael Poeta (Illinios) dec. Angel Cejudo (Arizona) 9-4. Poeta used two three-point tosses to jump out ahead and hold off the Greco champion, Cejudo. Poeta was Illinois first champ of the night. 132 Pounds Eric Tannenbaum (Illinios) dec. Matt Collum (Illinios) 3-0. Tannenbaum doubled as a champion, also winning Greco with a first period takedown and gutwrench for the only scoring in the bout. 143 Pounds Ryan Davis (Maryland) tech fall Keith Gavin (Pennsylvania) 10-0, 1:59. Davis, second in Greco this week, used a barrage of gutwrenches to make quick work of Gavin turning early and often. 154 Pounds Alex Pavlenko (Arizona) dec. George Lynaugh (Minnesota) 6-2. Pavlenko perches atop the medal podium after a second place finish in Greco. Using a three point exposure and a gutwrench for his points, he topped the Minnesota grappler for Arizona's only championship of the night. 167 Pounds Luke Hogle (Oregon) dec. Joshua Weitzel (Pennsylvania) 10-4. Hogle's dynamic offense and flexibility powered him with defensive takedowns and tilts. Using two takedowns and two tilts, he got up to a big lead before a late gutwrench added the final tally. 182.5 Pounds Matt Maciag (New Jersey) dec. Mike Maresh (Minnesota) 6-4, OT. Maciag flew off the center mat twice, but despite being double-legged for three points with time winding down and Maresh forcing OT, Maciag used a crotch lift in the extra frame to take the championship. 209 Pounds Grant Miller (Illinois) dec. Joe Dennis (Ohio) 9-3. Miller became Illinois' third champion of the night and a double champion, the second double champ from Illinois, with a victory over Dennis. He jumped up to a 7-0 lead, very quickly with a gator roll and turns in the top position. Dennis scored two takedowns and scored a lift appreciation point. 242 Pounds Jon May (Minnesota) dec. Tony Johnson (Ohio) 7-1. May jumped out off the bat quickly with a takedown and half for backpoints. Atypical of past heavyweight bouts, May used an ankle lace and high gutwrench to score his points. Johnson's lone point was a takedown at the start of the second period.
