IOWA CITY, IA -- Former Hawkeye wrestler Mark Ironside will replace play-by-play announcer Mark Allen for University of Iowa wrestling radio broadcasts for the 2001-02 season on AM-800 KXIC. A two-time NCAA Champion and four-time all-American for Iowa (1995-98), Ironside was the 10th wrestler in Big Ten history to win four Big Ten titles. The three-time Big Ten Wrestler of the Year will be paired with color analyst Maury Adams for broadcasts. Allen is replacing Mike Grimm as the play-by-play commentator for of Iowa women's basketball.
