New York, N.Y. (July 19, 2001) - The World Championships of Wrestling announced today that the Bulgarian and Italian National Wrestling Federations will be sending delegations to the World Championships in New York this September.     Bulgaria is sending a full team to compete in all three styles. Eight athletes will compete in men's freestyle, eight athletes will complete in the Greco-Roman competition and six athletes will compete in women's freestyle for Bulgaria.     A total of eight athletes will be competing for the Italian team at the World Championships.    Responses from each international federation must be returned to USA Wrestling by July 25, 2001 in order to secure a country delegation in the World Championships. Final team rosters must be submitted by each international delegation by August 25, 2001.      More than 600 athletes from 50 countries are expected to compete in the event. This marks the first time all three wrestling disciplines (Greco-Roman, men's freestyle and women's freestyle) will be held together in the United States, making this event the largest World Championships of Wrestling event ever held.    The World Championships of Wrestling will take place at Madison Square Garden, September 26-29, 2001.
