Communications Assistant
USA Wrestling
USA Wrestling, the national governing body for amateur wrestling in the United States, seeks a Communications Assistant. This individual will work full-time in the Communications Department on a variety of projects.
This person will be responsible for managing the advertising sales, client service and collections for USA Wrestling publications, including USA Wrestler, the Complete Coach, Team USA Guide and the web page.
The individual also must have strong communications skills, including writing, editing, publication design and verbal communications. The position includes editorial duties with USA Wrestling publications, as well event promotions, sports information and media relations duties. The individual will be expected to travel to USA Wrestling events and activities.
A bachelorĀ¹s degree is required, with study in communications, journalism, broadcasting or related fields. Professional experience with publications or sports information is desirable, as well as computer skills. Background in wrestling is not required, but is a plus.
