ESPN TO REBROADCAST USA VS. RUSSIA DUAL MEET, DEC. 14 

ESPN has announced that it will rebroadcast the USA vs. Russia freestyle wrestling dual meet on Monday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. ESPN and ESPN2 have aired this outstanding show to a national audience on a number of occasions in the past. The meet was originally held in Waterloo, Iowa, on April 7.

The Russian team featured the top athletes from the 1998 World Cup team, including World Champion Kouramagomed Kouramagomedov at 213.75 pounds and World bronze medalist Andrei Shumilin at 286 pounds.

The USA team included many stars who grew up, attended college or live in the Iowa area, including the Steiner twins, Troy (138.75) and Terry (152), plus Darryl Weber (167.5) and Tolly Thompson (286).

Fans are encouraged to watch this event to enjoy the intensity of a USA vs. Russia dual meet, the biggest rivalry in international wrestling. Those that can not watch may wish to use their VCRs to tape this spectacular show. Check your local listings for time and station in your area.
