USA SPORTS BROADCASTING RELEASES A NEW WEB PAGE, FEATURING TELEVISION PROGRAMS FOR WRESTLING AT usasportsbroadcasting.com

USA Sports Broadcasting, the broadcast division of USA Wrestling, has developed a new web page on the internet. This web page provides a number of fun and interesting opportunities for viewers to learn more about wrestling on television.

Anyone with a home computer can access this new page at usasportsbroadcasting.com

In addition, everyone who visits USA Wrestling's home page can link to the USA Sports Broadcasting page directly. You can find USA Wrestling's web page at www.usawrestling.org.

A very important part of the web page is the schedule, which lists all of the television events that USA Sports Broadcasting will air across the United States this year, along with the network airdates.

Included in the programming is the "College Series of Wrestling," a joint effort between the U.S. Olympic Committee, the National Collegiate Athletic Association and USA Wrestling. In 1999, this series features wrestling events from the Big Ten, the Big 12 and the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA).

In addition, a number of USA Wrestling events will be aired on ESPN/ESPN 2 this year, including the 1999 U.S. National Championships in Las Vegas, Nev., the 1999 Freestyle World Cup in Spokane, Wash., the 1999 Dan Gable Classic in Des Moines, Iowa and the 1999 World Freestyle Wrestling Championships in Ankara, Turkey.

Two other important USA Wrestling events, the 1999 Freestyle World Team Trials in Seattle, Wash. and the 1999 Greco-Roman World Team Trials in Tampa, Fla. are also expected to be produced and broadcast this year.

Among the most fun areas of the page are "video clips" and "pictures." From each of the televised events, USA Sports Broadcasting will post live video action, in addition to a number of photo captures from the competition.

For instance, from the recently televised Iowa vs. Penn State dual meet, a number of photos from each of the 10 weight classes are posted in the "pictures" area. In addition, selected video clips will also be featured.

The "results" section gives the bout-by-bout results of each of the competitions that USA Sports Broadcasting produces.

The web page includes an "about us" area, which provides detailed information on USA Sports Broadcasting. Viewers can contact USA Sports Broadcasting directly through the "email" section. Areas with "audio clips," "production," and "post production" information are also being created. Other features may also be added in the future.
