Greco-Roman champions determined at 1999 Cadet World Team Trials at Northwestern Univ. in Evanston, Ill., April 9 
    James Woodall of Pennsylvania, defended his title at 167.5 pounds by defeating Nick Zaic of Minnesota by a technical fall, 14-3. His brother, Jason Woodall, improved from a fourth place finish last year to win by technical fall over Paul Carlson of Minnesota, 11-0, at 152 pounds.    
 Other champions include: Daryl Spackman of Utah at 92.5 pounds, Luke Smith of Wisconsin at 101.5 pounds, Zach Lamano of Utah at 110 pounds, Mike Simpson of California at 119 pounds and Josh Lamano of Utah at 127.75 pounds. Tony Hook of Idaho scored a decision over Jamell Tidwell of Minnesota, 13-12, at 138.75 pounds,  Justin Millard of Pennsylvania won by a technical fall over K.C. Walsh of Washington, 13-3, at 187.25 pounds, and Eli Ross of Minnesota decisioned Matt Hasbrook of Indiana, 3-2, at 220.25 pounds for the title.    
 This event was held alongside the 1999 University Nationals for men. The Men's University Nationals and the Men's Cadet World Team Trials will be held side-by-side throughout the weekend. For the second year, a women's freestyle division will be held at the University National Championships.   
 The men's freestyle competition will continue on Friday, April 9, with session times of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 10 with times of 9:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and concludes on Sunday, April 11 with times of 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. For more information, please call Heather Folks of USA Wrestling at the Sheraton North Shore Hotel at 847-498-6500.
