Fans invited to attend Dave Schultz Wrestling Club tour to FranceLutte Club de Nice (France) has invited the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club to compete in the 25th Henri Deglane Challenge on November 26 - 27, 1999. The event involves teams from ten countries competing in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman styles. Last year the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club had three champions and came in second behind Russia.
This is the second year fans are being invited to join the Club on the trip to Nice. They will travel with the Club's elite wrestling team, DSWC President Nancy Schultz, and DSWC Distinguished Coach and 1996 Olympic Champion Kendall Cross. The week long trip starts Nov. 22 and involves flying together on Delta Airlines to Nice, staying at conveniently located Hotel Normandie, tours of a perfume factory and Monaco/Monte Carlo, two days of wrestling, a banquet normally reserved for wrestlers and officials, and unscheduled time for sightseeing, enjoying fine French food, relaxing on the French Riviera, etc.
Nancy Schultz pointed out that, "Based on a survey of the 30 fans attending last year, the trip received very high marks."
