152 lbs. - Lincoln McIlravy - "They guys are slippery out there, and it was tough to score. It was finally there to win. I'm sponsored by Gateway. I'm a South Dakota product, and Gateway 2000 is a South Dakota-based product."

167.5 lbs. - Joe Williams - "It feels pretty good. I came into this tournament thinking about dominating, but I didn't really do that, but I still came out on top."

187.25 lbs. - Les Gutches - "The strategy for me was to shoot in. He tried a lot of different moves, but they weren't successful. A win is a win, even if by just by three points. The Oregon State program has been great for me. I'm an athlete first and a coach second."

213.75 lbs. - Dominic Black - "It feels pretty good. I'm just happy to qualify for the World Team Trials, and I want to win that and go on for a World title."

286 lbs. - Stephen Neal - "It was pretty tough. I have recently wrestled the NCAA's, the University Nationals and this Open. It has been hard training to do it all this year."

119 lbs. - Steven Mays - "I'm ecstatic. I have been knocking on the door for 12 years. I did some different training techniques this time, and I have been working out with (former world champion) Dennis Hall."

127.75 lbs. - Dennis Hall - "This is a nice feeling. I can score when he comes at me. This is something that I trained very hard for. You take what you can get at this level."

138.75 lbs. - Glenn Nieradka - "The hard work paid off. It is what I have been working for all year and it finally culminated with this."

152 lbs. - David Zuniga - "It has been a long time coming. It's just the start of something much bigger for me."

167.5 lbs. - Matt Lindland - "I felt really strong going into the match. I would like to thank my coaches, my wife and God for this victory."

187.25 lbs. - Quincey Clark - "I don't know if it has hit me yet. I know IÕll be thinking later about never having placed higher than sixth, and now winning it. My mon has never seen me wrestle before and I thank God my mom got to see me win. Just knowing she was rooting for me made a difference.Ó

213.75 lbs. - Randy Couture - "It's up and down, it's up and down. I'm healthy, training hard. IÕve got Dan Henderson up with me now training. I've got a solid workout partner now. I think the fighting has given me confidence. I've learned some mental skills. I don't get as nervous with my matches. It's made a real difference."

286 lbs. - Dremiel Byers - "I know he's one of the toughest here. I've never beaten him before, maybe itÕs my time. I didnÕt want to let my coaches down. I'm so happy right now. I was thinking about my high school coach Steve Moffett."

101.25 lbs. - Olivia Ocampo - "I am really excited. This means so much to me. In my career, I want to go as far as I can. I dedicate this victory to my grandmother. This event is great for women's wrestling."

112.25 lbs. - Tricia Saunders - "I didn't wrestle very well. I've been able to rise to the occasion, and I pulled out the win here."

123.25 lbs. - Stephanie Murata - "They all mean alot to me. This is the culmination of the whole year. As womenÕs wrestling grows, it means more to win each national title."

138.5 lbs. - Lauren Wolfe - "It feels really good. I was disappointed with my performance at the Worlds last year, so it feels good to be back on the top again."

149.75 lbs. - Sandra Bacher - "She is getting a lot tougher. We've wrestled before, and I know I am going to have to train a lot harder to keep my No. 1 spot. There were a lot of young girls out there with good moves who really impressed me. A couple of years ago, this was a lot easier to win. The young girls have no fear."

165.25 lbs. - Kristie Stenglein - "Beating her adds to the importance. Iris (Smith) has improved 100 percent. It feels good to win. It was reassuring for me, with my past knee problems. This all starts over again at the next tournament."
