USA Wrestling to host 6th Annual NCEP Silver Level Coaches College in June

USA Wrestling will be holding the 6th Annual National Coaches Education Program (NCEP) Silver Level Coaches College at Club Green Meadows Country Club in Vancouver, WA June 17-23, 1999.  The Coaches College will be held in conjunction with the 1999 Cadet and Junior Olympic Developmental Camp.   

The Coaches College is a week long event in which many of the world's premier wrestling professionals share their expertise in areas directly related to the coaching of wrestling. These areas cover program development, technique, psychology of coaching, sports medicine, and physiology of training. This years lineup will include Dr. Larry Johnson of Delnor Community Medical Center, the author of USA Wrestling's Coaches Guide to Excellence infectious skin diseases chapter; John Azevedo, Calvery Chapel High School Head Coach 1997 High School National Champions; Ivan Ivanov, 1996 Bulgarian Olympic Team member and USA Wrestling Silver Level Coach; Greg Strobel, Head Coach Lehigh University and 2000 Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team; Kevin Jackson, Head Coach USOTC Resident Freestyle Team and 1992 Olympic Champion; Bruce Burnett, USA Wrestling Freestyle National Coach; Dan Gable, Head Coach 2000 Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Team and many more.

The cost for the Coaches College is $300.00 which includes room, board, instructional fees and a chartered bus tour to Seattle, WA for the 1999 Freestyle World Team Trials on June 19, 1999. There are only spots available for 40 coaches to attend. Bronze certified coaches working towards Silver Level certification will be granted first priority.
