Reardon, Ocampo and Tomeo defend titles at the 1999 FILA Junior Nationals/World Team Trials in Rochester, Minn., June 10 
   Thisbe Reardon  (Oakley, Calif./Peninsula Grapplers), Olivia Ocampo (Oxnard, Calif./UM-Morris) and Erin Tomeo  (Vozant, Penn./TAPS PA) defended their titles at the 1999 FILA Women's Junior Nationals/World Team Trials at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester, Minn., June 10. Reardon defended her title at 94.5 pounds when she was uncontested. 1999 U.S. Nationals champion Ocampo defended her title at 101.25 pounds when she pinned Jennifer Donahoe (Goodrich, Mich./UM-Morris) at 2:49. Ocampo was fourth in the 1998 FILA Junior World Championships. Tomeo won the 110-pound weight class through a round-robin format.   
 Two-time Team USA member Iris Smith  (Colorado Springs, Colo.) won the 165.25-pound title. Smith placed second at the 1999 U.S. Nationals.   
 Other champions include:  Jenny Wong  (Woodburg, Minn./Minnesota Storm) at 119 pounds, Sara McMann  (Lock Haven, Penn./UM-Morris) at 127.75 pounds, Aimee McNab  (Morris, Minn./UM-Morris) at 138.75 pounds and Katie Downing  (Penleton, Ind./UM-Morris) at 149.75 pounds.   
 The Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament was Sara McMann, the 127.75-pound champion. The award for the most falls went to Elena Mena, St. Paul, Minn. with three pins in 3:12.  
  The FILA Junior age level this year will include athletes from 17-20 years old. Many of the best wrestlers in the nation on the Senior level can still compete at this level, as well as a number of age group stars. Winners of the FILA Junior Nationals/World Team Trials, will be eligible to represent the U.S. at the Women's Junior World Championships in Bucharest, Romania, August 12-15.
