MINNESOTA ME'S WIN NATIONAL JUNIOR GRECO-ROMAN DUALS, BEATING CALIFORNIA 35-16 IN CHAMPIONSHIPS FINALS 

The Minnesota Me's claimed the team title at the 1999 National Junior Greco-Roman Dual Championships, defeating defending champion California in the gold-medal finals, 35-16 at Hamilton Fieldhouse at the Univ. of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla.

The Minnesota Me's won nine of the 12 matches in the dual meet, including seven matches in a row between 132 and 220 pounds. Scoring pins for Minnesota in the finals were Eric Anderson at 98 pounds and Jake Hutchins at 191.5 pounds. Technical fall victories by Minnesota included Jasper Hubbert at 114.5 pounds and Mike Fiedler at 154 pounds.

Team Iowa claimed third place with a 30-17 win over Kansas Gold. Fifth place was won by Team Ohio, defeating host Team Oklahoma 34-18. Team Illinois captured seventh place, stopping North Dakota Swank 33-22.

The consolation champion was Colorado Gold, which stopped the Minnesota Mojos 28-24.

The National Junior Freestyle Dual Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 26-27, also at Hamilton Fieldhouse at the Univ. of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla. NATIONAL JUNIOR GRECO-ROMAN DUALS
