USA Wrestling, along with FILA (International Federation of Associated Wrestling Styles), is excited to announce that a FILA Advanced School for Coaches will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 24th – 27th, 2013. This will be one of only three international FILA clinics with the other two being held in Tokyo, Japan (Women’s FS) and Almada, Portugal (Greco-Roman).

FILA has assembled a great line-up for this clinic with international superstars such as Alexander Leipold (Germany) and Sergei Beloglazov (Russia) serving as clinicians. In addition, U.S. National Women's Freestyle Head Coach Terry Steiner and Dave Bennett, former U.S. Freestyle Developmental Coach, will be presenting during the week.

“I’m truly excited about showcasing this event for FILA. We have gone to great links to make sure the coaches have good accommodations, an easily viewed mat presentation area, as well as an optimized theory presentation area," said Cody Bickley, USA Wrestling's National Teams High Performance Manager. "We have also made arrangements for simultaneous translations to better accommodate our international guests. This will be a great experience for the coaches attending.”

Participants of this clinic will be seeking a FILA level coaching accreditation. Coaches, lecturers, doctors, nutritionists, and high ranking FILA officials from around the world will be present.

In addition, it should be noted that FILA Secretary General, Michel Dusson, will also be present to give opening remarks for the program.
