BUDAPEST, Hungary – The final three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws for the last day of the World Wrestling Championships on Sunday.

Competing in his second World Championships is Andy Bisek at 74 kg/163 lbs. He opens with Balint Korpasi of Hungary, who was second in the 2010 World University Championships.

Bisek competed in the 2011 World Championships. He competed with the U.S. Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan during college, and then became a U.S. Olympic Training Center resident athlete.

“Andy is committed for the next four years. He’s very serious about this. In the beginning of the year, he had some issues with injuries. He wrestled really well in the Trials. He also wrestled good in Poland, even when he was very sick. In the last 10 days here in Budapest, he has been relaxed, had good reactions and great throws. He is ready physically and emotionally,” said Assistant National Coach Momir Petkovic.

2012 U.S. Olympian Ellis Coleman will be competing at 66 kg/145.5 lbs., where he will face Yuksel Atakan of Turkey, who was fifth in the 2013 European Championships.

Coleman is a two-time Junior World bronze medalist. This will be Coleman’s first Senior World Championships. Coleman was third in the 2010 Pan American Championships. He is a U.S. Olympic Training Center resident athlete.

Coleman was announced as the U.S. entry on Friday, replacing Justin Lester who could not compete for medical reasons.

“Ellis is very happy to have a chance to wrestle and represent our country. Yesterday, when he found out he would be wrestling, his eyes were smiling. He has great potential and he’s a fighter. He will give everything inside of him. We are excited to see him for the first time at the Senior World Championships,” said Petkovic.

Also competing at his first Senior World Championships is Robbie Smith at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. Smith has drawn Xiaoming Nie of China, who was second in the 2013 Asian Championships.

Smith competed in three Junior World Championships, placing seventh and ninth. He was also ninth at the University World Championships. Smith boasts two Pan American Championships silver medals. He is a U.S. Olympic Training Center resident athlete.

“Robbie had a great training camp back in the Springs, and over here, he finished up pretty good. He’s relaxed and excited to wrestle in his first World Championships. Hopefully, he will do well. He just changed weight classes this year. Physically, he may have some challenges, but if he puts it together, he can surprise a lot of people,” said Petkovic.
