BUDAPEST, Hungary – Three more U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws for the fifth day of the World Wrestling Championships on Saturday.

All three of the American wrestlers competing on Saturday are wrestling in their first Senior World Championships.

At 60 kg/132 lbs., 2013 Junior World bronze medalist Jesse Thielke opens against Christos Theodorakis of Greece, who was fifth in 2012 Mediterranean Championships.

Thielke made four Junior World teams working through the USA Wrestling developmental programs, winning the bronze on his fourth team. He competes for the University of Wisconsin.

“Even though this is his first Senior Worlds, he’s wrestled in several Junior Worlds and is a Junior World medalist. He’s a great wrestler and had a great camp, with excellent training in Budapest. I have been impressed with everything I have seen this kid do. He is young but he has a world of experience. He will give anyone in this tournament a run for their money,” said U.S. World Team Coach Dan Chandler.

Jordan Holm will make his World Championships debut at 84 kg/185 lbs in Budapest, will face Pedro Garcia Perez of Spain, who was second in the 2013 Grand Prix of Spain.

Holm was sixth in the 2002 World University Championships, and has won two Pan American Championships bronze medals. He wrestled for Northern Iowa in college.

“Jordan looks very good. I have a lot of confidence in Jordan and have high hopes. He got his weight down perfectly. He worked his butt off every day in training camp. His preparation has been really good. He’s beaten some of the best guys in the world. The capability is there for a great tournament. I will be excited to see how he competes tomorrow,” said Holm.

The 96 kg/211.5 lbs. spot is manned by talented young Caylor Williams, who drew veteran Cenk Ildem of Turkey. Ildem was the 2011 World bronze medalist, 2008 University World champion and 2006 Junior World champion.

Williams was a member of the 2012 World University Team, his only previous World Championships experience on the age-group level. He won a bronze medal at the 2013 Pan American Championships. He competed at UNC-Greensboro, and when they dropped wrestling, switched to wrestling Greco-Roman full-time.

“Caylor is a very instinctual wrestler. He is very difficult to score on because of his athleticism. He has had a good camp and has trained hard. He has tried to refine a few techniques in camp. It will be interesting to see how he competes tomorrow. He is so explosive that he could be a bad draw for somebody,” said Chandler.
