SPALA, Poland - Six U.S. men’s freestyle wrestlers will compete on the opening day of the Ziolkowski Memorial International on Saturday. All have weighed in and received their draws.

The group includes 2013 World Team member Tervel Dlagnev at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. Dlagnev, a 2012 Olympian and 2009 World bronze medalist, opens with Mykhailo Datsenko of Ukraine.

Competing at 55 kg/121 lbs. is 2013 U.S. World Team Trials runner-up Angel Escobedo, who opens with Andrei Dukov of Romania, who was fifth in 2010 European Championships.

The U.S. has three entries at 84 kg/185 lbs. Coming off a gold-medal effort at the Stepan Sargisyan International in Armenia last week is Clayton Foster, who faces 2012 Asian silver medalist Semyon Semyonov of Kazakhstan.

2013 NCAA champion Chris Perry, who won a bronze in Armenia last week, drew Sebastian Jezierzanski of Poland in his first match.

Also on the mat is past NCAA champion Jon Reader, who has Polish opponent Sebastian Jezierzanski in the opening round.

The event is being held alongside the Poland Open, which features women’s freestyle wrestling. The USA has a team at the competition, but no women athletes in action on Saturday.

Both events are considered tune-up events for the 2013 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in September.
