U.S. results at Junior World Greco-Roman Championships, August 13

Four of the five U.S. Junior wrestlers who competed on Friday won their matches on the second day of the FILA Junior World Championships, August 13, in Bucharest, Romania. 

At 54 kg/119 pounds Dustin Brewer of Missouri pinned a Turkish wrestler. Brandon McNab of Colorado Springs, Colo., decisioned a Spanish opponent, 4-0, to win at 63 kg/138.75 pounds. McNab also won by a technical fall over a Yugoslavian wrestler. At 76 kg/167.5 pounds, Carl Fornhofer of New York decisioned his opponent from France, 9-1. Garrett Lowney of Freedom, Wis., decisioned a Ukraine wrestler, 6-3, to win at 97 kg/213.75 pounds.

The United States only loss came at 130 kg/286.5 pounds. Paul Devlin of New Jersey lost to a Chinese wrestler, 3-0.

The FILA Junior Greco-Roman World Team is coached by Head Coach Mark Fuller of Utah and Assistant Coach Vern Zellner of New Jersey.
