Adam Coon (Fowlerville, Mich./Team Michigan) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Coon became the first wrestler to win back-to-back USA Wrestling Triple Crowns in the Junior division.

Coon captured Junior Nationals Greco-Roman and freestyle titles this past week at 285 pounds to complete his second Triple Crown. He won the Junior Folkstyle Nationals, the first leg of the Triple Crown, in April in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Coon completed his second Triple Crown by scoring a quick 10-0 technical fall over Nathan Butler of Kansas to win a Junior Nationals freestyle title on Saturday afternoon at the Fargo Dome

Coon also won all three USA Wrestling Junior Nationals titles in 2012.

Coon, a University of Michigan recruit, won a FILA Cadet World title for the U.S. in 2011.
