World and Olympic champions to appear for signings at ASICS booth at Junior/Cadet Nationals

FARGO, N.D. – ASICS has announced that there will be five Olympic gold medalists attending the ASICS/Vaughan Junior and Cadet Nationals in Fargo, N.D. for autograph signings.
Featured superstar wrestling heroes at the ASICS booth are Olympic champions Dan Gable, Bruce Baumgartner, Tom Brands, Kevin Jackson and Cael Sanderson.
The week begins with a signing two-time Olympic champion and three-time World Champion Bruce Baumgartner, who will appear on Sunday, July 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Baumgartner won nine World and four Olympic medals during his amazing career, and was flag bearer for the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
Dan Gable, a 1972 Olympic champion and 1971 World champion, makes his appearance on Wednesday, July 17 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Gable was the most successful college coach in history at the University of Iowa, as well as a three-time Olympic Team coach.
Thursday, July 18 will feature 1996 Olympic gold medalist and current Iowa head coach Tom Brands from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Brands is a 1993 World Champion and made four straight U.S. World or Olympic Teams. In 1993, Brands and his twin brother Terry was named the John Smith Outstanding Freestyle Wrestlers of the year, as both won World titles side by side.
Friday, July 19 will feature a pair of wrestling legends who are both Olympic champions.
2004 Olympic gold medalist Cael Sanderson will make his appearance from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on July 19. Sanderson was the first undefeated, four-time wrestling champion in NCAA history competing for Iowa State (1999-2002). As the current head coach at Penn State, he has led the Nittany Lions to three straight NCAA titles.
1992 Olympic champion Kevin Jackson, who won World gold medals in 1991 and 1995, will also appear on Friday, July 19 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Jackson is currently the head coach at Iowa State University, and is a past USA Wrestling Freestyle National Coach.
They’ll all be signing large posters and autograph cards free of charge. Announcement boards with their photos will be placed around the FargoDome to remind everybody of these autograph sessions.
The ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals is the world’s largest wrestling tournament with more than 4,000 athletes competing on over 20 mats at the FargoDome, an indoor football stadium.
Baumgartner, Jackson and Sanderson are all past Junior National champions.
