Award winning international wrestling photographer John Sachs has created a Limited Edition "Rumble on the Rails" Commemorative poster available for sale to the public.
The Rumble on the Rails was an international wrestling match between the United States, Iran and Russia on May 15. The historic event was held in New York City’s Vanderbilt Hall, located in Grand Central Terminal.
"We are elated to bring together three nations this year to show not just how great the sport of wrestling is, but to exemplify how sport provides a common bond for countries who do not always see eye to eye on issues," Beat The Streets Chairman and CPOW Spokesperson Mike Novogratz said about this unique event.
The competition served both as a fundraiser for Beat the Streets New York, and as a flagship event as part of the Keep Olympic Wrestling movement during World Wrestling Month. The competition was broadcast nationally, with two different shows that appeared on NBC Sports Channel and Universal Sports.
The poster costs $20.20, with a portion of the sales donated to USA Wrestling's 2020 Vision Campaign to help Keep Olympic Wrestling.
The poster design is by Mark Kosman. In addition to this special Rumble on the Rails poster, Kosman has designed a number of other wrestling-related projects celebrating excellence in the sport.
John Sachs is considered one of the world’s best wrestling photographers, and has covered numerous major events including the Olympic Games, the World Championships, the NCAA Championships, the World Team Trials, the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals, the U.S. Open and many others. He is also a leader within California USA Wrestling, and has been a major supporter of wrestling within the state.
