OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The 2013 Junior National Duals will be hosted at the Freede Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. June 26-29.

The popular event is a dual meet style tournament that many of the best high school wrestlers in the nation compete on state association teams in both Olympic Styles. This is the 23rd year of the tournament, which has been hosted in Oklahoma City for eight straight years.

Team Illinois beat Michigan Blue 32-26 in the finals of the Greco-Roman tournament last year to secure the championship. The freestyle squad for Team Illinois also won the championship last year, defeating Iowa Blue in the finals 36-22.

The Junior National Duals are traditionally a strong preview of the top wrestlers expected at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals, set for Fargo, N.D., July 12-20.

All-Tournament teams are made up of outstanding wrestlers at each style and are announced at the conclusion of each respective tournament. These are undefeated wrestlers who compete in a minimum number of matches.

The event will be webcast live on TheMat.tv, with up to four mats streamed live each day. USA Wrestling’s Richard Immel will call the action for the championship finals in both styles.
