Manheim, Pa. – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) will hold their annual convention, sponsored by Asics, Cliff Keen Athletic and Resilite, from August 2-4 at the Westin Beach Resort and Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Event attendees will be led through presentations and seminars directed at all levels of coaches with general and breakout sessions by leaders in their field. In addition, there will be collegiate divisional breakouts and scholastic programs to discuss the top issues hitting their groups.

Highlighted general seminars will include topics:
•	Marketing and social media
•	Technique
•	Nutrition and Cross Training
•	Sports Psychology
•	Fundraising
•	Peaking athletes

Collegiate Sessions will include:
•	NCAA Division I Mock Selection
•	Rules Forum and clinic
•	Divisional breakout sessions

Scholastic Sessions will include:
•	NFHS Forum
•	Discussions on forfeits, weight classes and number of matches in a season
•	Role of Parents in Sports
•	Building a successful program

The NWCA will have experts on hand all weekend for coaches to take advantage of one on one training and advice in social media, marketing and professional development.

In addition, the NWCA will bring back one of its most popular sessions from a year ago “I married a coach. What now?”

In the presentation, Steve Garland, Heath Eslinger and Jack Childswill present to conference attendees the skills to keep the most important relationship in their lives, the relationship with their spouse, intact.

The seminar, which launched at the convention in 2012, evolved from the variety of types of presentations given at the convention annually. Garland said that while the convention does a thorough job of teaching and educating coaches on the logistical side of their lives and careers, there is no talk or mention of maintenance for the relationship with the spouse.

In addition, there are several other sessions specifically tailored to different attendees at the convention. Information on these sessions is available on the NWCA website conference schedule.

Along with the seminars and breakout sessions, the convention will also have a trade show with the industry leaders in wrestling displaying their latest products.

Event registration will cost $250 per attendee, who will then be able to make reservations at the host Westin Resort and Spa for $109 per night.

Those interested in becoming an exhibitor at the event should contact NWCA Assistant Director Tammy Tedesco at ttedesco@nwca.cc.
