Brought to you by the Liberty Mutual Insurance Responsible Sports program

You’re proud of your teenage wrestling star.

Over the years, you’ve watched the growth from quiet athlete to confident star. From gangly kid to powerful young adult. And you’ve driven your star to and from countless practices, meets and workouts.

And now the time has come for your wrestling star to learn to navigate the highways and roads alone. Just like wrestling became second nature, driving down the freeway will soon be an everyday event. It’s an exciting time for everyone involved – and an opportunity for great growth.

Liberty Mutual Insurance understands the challenges that come with parenting a teen. Including teaching them to drive safely and responsibly. That’s why we’re committed to helping you steer your star in the right direction.

All of us at Liberty Mutual Insurance are deeply invested in helping people live safer, more secure lives. As the third largest property and casualty insurer in the U.S., we understand that when it comes to responsibility, there are no short cuts to success – especially not on the road.

An Exciting New Challenge.

Learning to do anything for the first time poses a challenge. But it also presents a tremendous opportunity for growth. As a healthy and willing competitor, your teen is ready to embrace the new experience of driving, along with everything that comes with it. And at Liberty Mutual Insurance, we’re dedicated to helping you and your teen meet that challenge – and excel on the road.

With distracted driving at an all-time high and more and more cars on our nation’s roadways, driving today is truly an adventure. To help ensure success and safety on the road, we encourage your teenage driver to always put his or her seat belt on, turn cell phones off and do everything possible to minimize distractions within the vehicle.

Practice Pays Off.

Just like on the mat, practice pays off on the road. Practicing driving techniques and maneuvers in safe, open, well-lit spaces, under the tutelage of experienced, responsible adults, inevitably carries over to real-road experience. It’s also an excellent opportunity for bonding time between you and your teenager.

Such practical experience could also translate into savings. If your teenager completes a state-approved driver’s education course and becomes certified, a driver training discount could be applied to his or her Liberty Mutual Insurance policy.

Study Our Scouting Report.

There are many ways to prepare for success in life.

In wrestling, you can practice under the watchful eye of a seasoned coach. And you can study a scouting report to learn tendencies, strengths and weaknesses of your opponent. When it comes to driving, you can spend valuable, guided practice time behind the wheel of an automobile. Then crack open a wide variety of driving “playbooks” to further hone your mental approach to the road.

To that end, we’ve developed a wide variety of resources for teen drivers and those who insure them. Best of all, they’re all available whenever you need them, at a special teen driving section on our website LibertyMutual.com/TeenDriving.

Thanks to an exclusive partnership between USA Wrestling and Liberty Mutual Insurance, members of USA Wrestling could be eligible for exclusive group savings on auto and home insurance.*
