Tommy Lasorda supports Olympic wrestling

The Committee for the Preservation of Olympic Wrestling (CPOW) is releasing a series of public service announcements from a number of well-known celebrities who support the effort to Keep Wrestling in the Olympics.
These PSAs will be aired in numerous ways, including on major television networks, through online media platforms and at major wrestling and sports events and activities around the world.
Today’s PSA will feature legendary baseball figure Tommy Lasorda. Lasorda pitched for three seasons in the major leagues and was a member of the 1955 World Series champion Brooklyn Dodgers. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997 as a manager having won two World Series as manager of the Dodgers. In addition, Lasorda managed the United States baseball team that won a gold medal in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
Other PSAs will feature:
· Legendary Olympic champion swimmer Mark Spitz
· Olympic gymnastics champions Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci
· Olympic swimming champion Janet Evans
· Professional boxing legends Armando Muniz and Carlos Palomino
Each day this week, CPOW will post one of these PSAs on the USA Wrestling YouTube Channel for the world to see and for fans to enjoy.
Additional PSAs are currently in production and will be released when completed. Included will be a number of celebrities from the entertainment industry and other walks of life.
The PSA series is being produced by Chuck Ashman of SMA Global.
