The recently-designated Olympic and Paralympic Training Site, SPIRE Institute, in Geneva, Ohio will be hosting its first wrestlers since the announcement of its designation on Feb. 26 by the U.S. Olympic Committee.

The 2020 Junior Olympic Training Program will be held at SPIRE from June 30 – July 7, 2013 and will offer Junior and Cadet athletes a special opportunity to prepare for coming competitions and learn from seasoned wrestlers and coaches.

The Junior Olympic Training Program is one of the best camps available for talented young athletes and provides opportunities to work with Olympic, World and National champions.

USA Wrestling National Freestyle Development Coach Bill Zadick said, “We are extremely excited to offer this camp at SPIRE institute in Geneva, Ohio, the newest Olympic training facility. Combining world class USA Wrestling staff, high caliber coaches and training partners from around the country with a state-of-the-art complex will be an excellent experience. It is timed to be a perfect place for athletes to learn and prepare for competition at Cadet and Junior nationals in Fargo as well as the following high school seasons!”

Access to this training opportunity is determined by placement in the 2012 ASICS/Vaughan Junior and Cadet Nationals, the 2012-13 FILA Junior and FILA Cadet Nationals and the 2012-13 ASICS/USAW Folkstyle Nationals.

There are 100 spots available for this camp. The top three finishers from the 2012 Cadet & Junior National Championships, as well as FILA Cadet National finalists, who are currently enrolled in high school, have first choice. Camp fee is from $200 to $650 depending on your USA Wrestling Funded Access Ranking.

The deadline to apply for a spot in this camp is June 14, 2014. For more information and to download the application, click here.
