The USA Wrestling Weekly broadcast for Friday, April 26, 2013, has been posted for fans to enjoy.

USA Wrestling Weekly is a half-hour news broadcast which is produced on a weekly basis, and debuted in January 2011. Presented in a news format, it provides updated information on USA Wrestling activities, as well as a variety of feature segments.

This week’s show included the following feature segments:
• Complete coverage of the U.S. Open in Las Vegas, Nev., including finals video and interviews with all 21 individual champions. The Open is covered with updates from each of the three days of competition.
• CPOW press conference in Las Vegas, Nev. update, including announcement of the Save Olympic Wrestling Coalition. Statements from Rich Bender, John Bardis, John Smith, Bruce Baumgartner and Pat Christenson.
• Special reunion held in Las Vegas with the Pioneers of Women’s Wrestling, the women athletes who competed in the ‘80s and ‘90s before wrestling became an Olympic sport. Comments from Rich Bender and Terry Steiner, and interviews with Afsoon Roshanzamir Johnston and Marie Ziegler.
• CPOW update including $25,000 donation from All-American Sports Supply and Cliff Keen Athletic, new text to donate program, 2020 Vision group photo at the U.S. Open and FILA gold star for Shiela Wager

The USA Wrestling Weekly Photo of the Week contest winner was Patricia Schilling, with a picture of all of the wrestlers from the 2013 Oregon Cadet and Junior Freestyle and Greco State Tournament in Corvallis Oregon standing up to Keep Olympic Wrestling.

The show is moderated by veteran wrestling broadcaster Scott Casber and is scheduled for distribution each Friday on TheMat.com.

Each episode will also be posted on USA Wrestling’s YouTube Channel. In addition, USA Wrestling Weekly will be offered to a variety of websites, and will also be available to television networks across the nation.
