Kliford was the champion at 123.25 pounds, defeating Malissa Sherwood (Rocklin, Calif./Dave Schultz WC), a member of the U.S. Women's national team, by pin in 2:20. In a round-robin format, Kliford also defeated Shawna Hodges (Boise, Idaho/Bronco WC) by pin in 4:45. Hodges is currently ranked fourth in the United States.
The other weight class in the competition was 101.25 pounds. The champion was Jessica Dougherty (Concord, Calif./Concord Youth Club) with a win in the round-robin format as well. Dougherty pinned both of her opponents stopping Morgan Hastings (San Francisco, Calif./Peninsula Grapplers) in 5:20 and then pinning Emily Sisson (Concord, Calif./Concord Youth Club) in 2:21.
