The USA Wrestling Weekly broadcast for Friday, March 1, has been posted for fans to enjoy.
USA Wrestling Weekly is a half-hour news broadcast which is produced on a weekly basis, and debuted in January 2011. Presented in a news format, it provides updated information on USA Wrestling activities, as well as a variety of feature segments.

This week’s show included the following feature segments:
• Complete coverage from the sold-out Freestyle World Cup in Tehran, Iran, where the United States placed third as a team and had two champions, Jordan Burroughs and Max Askren. Interviews with Coach Bill Zadick and team members Brent Metcalf, Coleman Scott and Jake Varner
• Update on the amazing wrestling fans in Iran and their support for Olympic wrestling, with interviews with Rich Bender and Mitch Hull
• Clip of the ABC Nightly News coverage of the World Cup in Tehran, Iran
• USA Wrestling Executive Director Rich Bender talks about the growing international coalition to Keep Wrestling In the Olympics, and his meetings in Tehran with other nations.
• Slideshow of the tremendous worldwide outpouring of support for Olympic wrestling, from all around the globe and from people of all ages.
• Coverage of the NWCA National Duals finals, where Minnesota defeated Oklahoma State in the championship match to become the No. 1 dual meet team in college wrestling.

The USA Wrestling Weekly Photo of the Week contest winner was Serinol Lowman, depicting nine-year old J’Mari Lowman of the MarcAurele Wrestling Club in Connecticut competing in the USA Wrestling Connecticut State Tournament in New Haven. Lowman won the state title at 60 pounds.
The show is moderated by veteran wrestling broadcaster Scott Casber and is scheduled for distribution each Friday on TheMat.com.
Each episode will also be posted on USA Wrestling’s YouTube Channel. In addition, USA Wrestling Weekly will be offered to a variety of websites, and will also be available to television networks across the nation.
