Weigh-ins have been completed and draws decided for the first four weight classes at the Alexander Medved International in Minsk, Belarus, which starts Friday

Team USA will have seven men’s freestyle athletes competing on Friday at 55 kg, 60 kg, 66 kg and 74 kg.

Leading the team will be 2012 Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs at 74 kg. Burroughs was also a 2011 World champion and took home gold at the 2013 Freestyle World Cup in Tehran, Iran last week. Burroughs will face off against the USA’s Colt Sponseller.

Also competing tomorrow will be 2010 World Team member Obe Blanc, who opens up against Vitali Rudenko of the Ukraine at 55 kg.

Other men competing tomorrow at Medved will be Zach Sanders at 55 kg, Andrew Hochstrasser and Jimmy Kennedy at 60 kg and Chase Pami and Kellen Russell at 66 kg. 

The Medved International is considered to be one of the top events of the winter season.
