CREDENTIAL APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE FOR JOURNALISTS WHO WISH TO COVER THE 2000 U.S. OLYMPIC WRESTLING TEAM TRIALS AT REUNION ARENA IN DALLAS, TEXAS, JUNE 22-24Credential applications are now available for all members of the working press who wish to attend the 2000 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials, set for Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas, June 22-24.
Journalists must fill out a credential applications to be considered for press credentials at this important competition.
The best amateur wrestlers in the United States in the two Olympic styles of wrestling, freestyle and Greco-Roman, will travel to Dallas to battle for positions on the 2000 U.S. Olympic team, which will compete in Sydney, Australia. A total of 16 berths on the U.S. Olympic team are expected to be up for grabs - eight in freestyle and eight in Greco-Roman.
A mailing with the 2000 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Trials application, as well as USA Wrestling's annual media credentials application, will be sent to journalists prior to the new year.
Any journalist who wishes to receive an application can print a form off of the internet by visiting USA Wrestling's web page at http://www.usawrestling.org
The media credential application, as well as other media information on USA Wrestling, is located in the new "Press Area" section on the web page.
There may be a limitation on the number of journalist credentials issued for this event. All journalists are encouraged to apply early.
The first credential acceptance letters for the 2000 Olympic Team Trials are scheduled to be sent on January 15, 2000. Others will be sent on a regular basis through June 1, 2000. Journalists placed on a waiting list will be informed immediately. Consideration for credentials will be based upon USA Wrestling media credential regulations.
Information on hotel accommodations and other services will be sent with acceptance literature.
