The thirteen individuals that donated toward the new competition mat will be honored at intermission of the Jan. 27 dual against Oklahoma State.

TEMPE - In the span of just a few short weeks, the Arizona State University wrestling community came together to raise over $15,000 towards a new competition mat for the Sun Devil wrestling program and those that donated will be honored during the intermission of the Jan. 27 dual against No. 2 Oklahoma State.

The fundraising event, which had an original goal of $12,000 was spearheaded by former ASU wrestlers Lance Patrick and Bobby Williams in collaboration with TJ Isaacs and the Sun Devil Club. Patrick and Williams stated at the beginning of the project that they both wanted to increase the support and get more people involved with one of the most successful programs in NCAA history.

There were thirteen donors involved in the project including Williams and Patrick. Current UFC wrestler and former ASU All-American Ryan Bader was among those as well as former Sun Devil All-American and Pac-10 Champion Patrick Pitsch.

Other donors included former ASU wrestlers Marc Montini, Martin Sepulveda, Stan Holland and Jim Shough.

The Sun Devils will take on Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. MT on Sunday in a dual that will be broadcast nationally on the Pac-12 Networks. For more information on ways to support the Sun Devil Wrestling program, please contact TJ Isaacs at 480-727-8349.
