COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jordan Burroughs is back at the U.S. Olympic Training Center for the first time as an Olympic gold medalist.
Burroughs is training in the high altitude in Colorado this week during a U.S. National Team Camp.
The 2012 Olympic champion and 2011 World champion is gearing up to compete in next month’s World Cup in Iran. He said he plans to wrestle in the Alexander Medved International right after that in Belarus.
It will be his first competition since he captured an Olympic freestyle title at 74 kg/163 lbs. this past August in London, England.
Burroughs wrestled live with past World Team member Trent Paulson and NCAA champion Max Askren during a workout on Wednesday at the OTC. Burroughs and Askren have been training together at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
Burroughs talked with USA Wrestling communications manager Craig Sesker following practice on Wednesday.
