COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – USA Wrestling has officially released the latest version of its easy to use mobile application, which is available for download in both the iTunes Apple Store and the Google Play Droid Marketplace, free of charge.

Version 1.4.1 of the USA Wrestling app now supports 4-inch retina display screens for the Apple iOS software, and also includes the addition of the Folkstyle Level 3 curriculum videos and the Responsible Sports YouTube channel. 

The new Level 3 Curriculum can be found under the Coaches widget within the USA Wrestling app. The new curriculum includes video tutorials involving the following wrestling positions: neutral position, neutral position offense, counter offense, referee’s position and referee’s top position. 

“This is a resource that is free to all coaches which includes video of skills, drills, and cutting-edge techniques, and practice plans,” said Cody Bickley, USA Wrestling Manager of the National Coaches Education Program. “The addition of the app allows coaches to access the video clips right at their finger tips with their iPhone or Droid.  We will continue to build and expand this resource as we feel it’s a valuable resource to any wrestling coach out there.”

Other levels of video curriculum available through the Coaches widget include level one drills and activities for folkstyle wrestling, curriculum levels one and two for freestyle wrestling, curriculum levels one and two for Greco-Roman wrestling, as well as video tutorials explaining the rule differences for both Olympic styles of wrestling freestyle and greco-roman. 

The other new addition, the Responsible Sports YouTube channel, is listed under the Media widget within the application. This channel is meant to be an educational tool for parents and athletes to achieve their respective athletic goals while doing so in a responsible manner. The content for Responsible Sports is provided by USA Wrestling’s sponsor Liberty Mutual. 

The USA Wrestling application also includes digital profiles for USA Wrestling membership complete with the barcode and classification of ones USA Wrestling membership.

The app is also complete with a Club Finder tool, Events widget, News widget, Rules widget and a complete version of the USA Wrestler magazine. 

Furthermore, those who download the USA Wrestling app can keep up to date on all wrestling news by utilizing the news and media widgets, and also by following USA Wrestling’s Facebook and Twitter profiles in the Social widget of the app.
