Manheim, PA - Following yet another shutout in Big Ten competition, Penn State again received all 10 first-place votes in the USA Today/NWCA/AWN Division I Coaches Poll to remain the top team in the country.
The Virginia Duals caused some movement as Virginia Tech moved into the No. 9 position after beating in-state rival Virginia 21-9 in the finals of the National College Division. It was the second time this season the Hokies beat the Cavaliers.
As a result of Virginia's win over Central Michigan, the Cavaliers moved into the No. 11 spot, while Central Michigan slid from No. 9 to No. 12 this week.
Illinois broke into the top five for the first time this season, in part due to the Fighting Illini's win over Purdue and an Ohio State loss to Minnesota. After starting the season slowly, Boise State re-entered the Top 25 after taking fifth at the Virginia Duals, avenging an early-season loss to North Dakota State in the process.
Bloomsburg continued to move up after the Huskies topped Pittsburgh 19-18 over the weekend. Bloomsburg is currently ranked 20th, while Pittsburgh fell from No. 12 to No. 17.
Old Dominion dropped out of the Top 25 this week after losses to Edinboro, Kent State and North Dakota State. Penn fell four spots after falling to Iowa State at home.
