January 8, 2013 - For the first time this season, the Nittany Lions garnered all 10 possible first-place votes. The two-time defending NCAA champions are fresh off a team championship at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Oklahoma State remained second, followed by Minnesota, Iowa and Ohio State. Iowa jumped past Ohio State after beating the Buckeyes 22-9 on Friday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.
Illinois, Missouri, Cornell and Central Michigan remained steady, although Illinois and Missouri are no longer tied at No. 6. Illinois is in sole possession of the No. 6 ranking following their team title at the 50th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships.
The only other movement involving the top ten came from Oregon State, which dropped to 13th after an upset loss to Boise State. Virginia Tech moved into the No. 10 spot.
As a result, Virginia Tech, Michigan and Pittsburgh each moved up one spot. Penn moved up two spots after sweeping matches over the weekend.
Bloomsburg entered the Top 25 for the second time this season. The Huskies (8-2) moved in on the strength of a 22-15 victory over then-No. 18 Maryland on Saturday.
