Who says wrestling can be funny?
Viewers of the popular NBC TODAY Show do.
In a week-long vote on its website, with 10 clips to choose from, TODAY Show viewers selected a feature from the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. TODAY anchors Matt Lauer and Al Roker attended a U.S. Olympic Team Greco-Roman practice, where they received instruction from Olympians Dremiel Byers and Ellis Coleman, as well as National Greco-Roman Coach Steve Fraser.
The wrestlers tossed Matt and Al around during the training session. Later, Matt and Al got suited up for a Greco-Roman match on the mat at the Olympic venue. This funny segment was shown to the national audience at the conclusion of the Olympic Games.
Thanks to those in the wrestling community who took the time to vote and help give wrestling some additional national publicity.
