The second stop of The Olympic Wrestling Team Thanks America celebration tour is scheduled for New York City on Wednesday, November 14.

All four U.S. wrestlers who won Olympic medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London will be on hand to meet the public, along with other members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team in wrestling.

The public rally is set for the Beat the Streets Manhattan Training Center in Manhattan at 5:00 p.m. The address of the Beat the Streets Manhattan Training Center is 145 Thompson Street, New York, N.Y. Everybody who would like to come is invited. The Olympic wrestlers will sign autographs, pose for pictures and speak with those who are in attendance.

The four Olympic medalists who are expected at the rally are:
• Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs, 74 kg/163 lbs. in men’s freestyle
• Olympic gold medalist Jake Varner, 96 kg/211.5 lbs. in men’s freestyle
• Olympic bronze medalist Coleman Scott, 60 kg/132 lbs. in men’s freestyle
• Olympic bronze medalist Clarissa Chun, 48 kg/105.5 lbs. in women’s freestyle

Other members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team who are expected to attend include men’s freestyle Olympians Sam Hazewinkel (55 kg/121 lbs.), Jake Herbert (84 kg/185 lbs.) and Tervel Dlagnev (120 kg/264.5 lbs.), as well as women’s freestyle Olympian Kelsey Campbell (55 kg/121 lbs.)

2012 World champion Adeline Gray (67 kg/147.5 lbs) from Women’s Team USA, will make a special appearance. Bill Zadick, one of the U.S. Olympic Team coaches and a 2006 World champion in men’s freestyle, will also be at the rally.

The technique clinic originally scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday has been postponed. Information on future clinics hosted by the Beat the Streets program will be posted.

The U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team wants to thank the American fans for their support through a series of appearances this fall across the nation. This project is spearheaded by the United States Wrestling Foundation (USWF), in cooperation with USA Wrestling.

The first tour stop was in Orlando, Fla. on November 2, with a successful public rally at West Orange High School. Olympic champion Jordan Burroughs and Olympic coach Zeke Jones were among the featured guests. The final tour stop will be in Los Angeles, Calif. on Wednesday, December 19.

“The Olympic Wrestling Team Thanks America celebration tour is intended to thank our supporters for the great results that their contributions led to in London," said Kevin Hummer, Vice Chairman of the United States Wrestling Foundation and the celebration tour manager. "We also want to let the wrestling public and our youth wrestlers interact with their heroes and hear their stories firsthand.”

At each of the cities, a private reception will be held afterwards in each host city for those interested in supporting the United States Wrestling Foundation.

“With this tour we not only celebrate the triumphs of 2012, we also begin the journey to 2016 in Rio," said Jeff Waters, Chairman of the United States Wrestling Foundation. “The USWF is a newly formed Foundation consisting of business leaders with a wrestling background and many of our wrestling legends who are joining forces to support USA Wrestling athletes in their quest for Olympic gold.”
