U.S. team to compete against Cuba in a World Dual meet in Houston, Texas, Feb. 15 

The United States will compete against Cuba in a World Dual meet at the Memorial Parkway Junior High School in Katy, Texas, Feb. 15.

Many top U.S. stars will compete in the World Dual Meet.

At 187.25 pounds, Charles Burton (Bloomington, Ind./New York AC) is currently ranked No. 2 in the United States. He competed for Boise State University where he was third in the 1996 NCAA Championships. He is currently an assistant coach at Indiana University.

John Fisher (Ypsilanti, Mich./Sunkist Kids) is currently ranked No. 3 at 138.75 pounds in the United States. He was the 1999 Winter Classic champion and the 1999 Dave Schultz Memorial International champion. He was also a 1997 World Cup champion.

Ranked No. 3 in the United States at 152 pounds, Chris Bono (Ames, Iowa/Sunkist Kids) was a 1999 Sunkist Kids/ASU International Open champion. He competed for Iowa State University where he was a 1996 NCAA Champion.

Tom Erikson (W. Lafayette, Ind./Sunkist Kids) was fourth in the 1997 World Championships and is currently ranked No. 4 in the U.S. at 286 pounds, and is an assistant coach at Purdue University.

Competing at 119 pounds, Stephen Abas (Fresno, Calif./Sunkist Kids) is a 1999 Winter Classic champion and a 1999 Sunkist Kids/ASU International Open champion. He was also a 1998 Junior World Champion and a 1999 NCAA Champion for Fresno State University.

Danny Felix (Norman, Okla./Sunkist Kids) was second in the 1999 Sunkist Kids/ASU International Open and will compete 127.75 pounds.

Frank Trigg (Norman, Okla./Sunkist Kids) was second in the 1999 Dave Schultz Memorial International. He was also a 1998 Winter Classic champion. He was a former assistant coach at the University of Oklahoma and will compete at 167.5 pounds.

John Kading (Evanston, Ill./Wildcat WC) competed at the University of Oklahoma where he was a 1996 NCAA champion. He is currently an assistant coach at Northwestern University. He will compete at 213.75 pounds.

The event will be held at the Memorial Parkway Junior High School in Katy, Texas, 21203 Highland Knolls. Tickets are $5 and the dual will start at 7:00 p.m.
