Four U.S. women receive draws for Thursday competition at Junior Worlds

PATTAYA, Thailand - Four U.S. women’s freestyle wrestlers received their draws for competition on Thursday at the 2012 FILA Junior World Championships at the Eastern Sports Training Center in Pattaya, Thailand. 

Erin Golston (Lake in the Woods, Ill./USOEC), Haley Augello (Lockport, Ill./NYAC), Jenna Burkert (Rocky Point, N.Y./USOEC/NYAC) and Jennifer Page (Orangevale, Calif./OCU/Gator WC) will compete on the first day of women’s freestyle. 

Golston, a returning Junior World bronze medalist at 44 kg/97 lbs., drew an opening round bye and will face either China’s Liqiong Xiu or Chinese Taipei’s Wen-Ling Lo. 

Haley Augello, a 2011 Cadet World Champion, will open up with Mongolia’s Davaachimeg Erkhembayar at 51 kg/112 lbs. 

Jenna Burkert will make her second appearance at the Junior World Championships at 59 kg/130 lbs. After finishing eighth a year ago, Burkert will open up against China’s Jiamin Feng. 

Jennifer Page finished third at the U.S. Olympic Trials this past April. She will open up with Han-Bit Lee of Korea in the first round at 67 kg/147.5 lbs. Page has had a busy summer, competing at the Junior Worlds after previously competing at the Senior World Cup in Japan and traveling to the Olympic Games as a training partner.

51 kg/112 lbs. – Haley Augello, Lockport, Ill.

59 kg/130 lbs. – Jenna Burkert, Rocky Point, N.Y.
vs. Jiamin Feng (China)

67 kg/147.5 lbs. – Jennifer Page, Orangevale, Calif.
