Robert Blessing "Bobby" Passed away suddenly on July 19, 2012. He was born on October 3, 1949 in Tacoma, WA to Alice and Claude. He was raised in the Midland area and graduated from Franklin Pierce HS in 1967. Bob was a retired truck driver, but continued his love of people and equipment by running his own business for many years.
Bob will be remembered by everyone who knew him for his generosity and his commit-ment to family and friends. Most of all he adored, loved, and was proud of his family: his best friend and wife, Anne; his children, Taran and Steve (Johnson) and Misty and Ben (Biery); his pal Lacey, the Schnauzer; but most especially his grand-children, Keegan, Kael, Berlin, and Brody. Bobby taught us the important things in life: how to check air pressure and change a tire; check the oil; how to drive a tractor; give 110%; how to tell a joke (even the dirty ones) stand up for yourself and be independent; how to weed, mow the lawn, grow a garden and correctly plant a plant; what tool to use for every project; back a trailer by only using your mirrors; pack wheel bearings and tighten lug nuts twice; but most of all to always show respect and to drop everything to help a friend or family member in need.
A graveside inurnment will be held at 2:00pm on Sat., July 28, 2012 at Fir Lane Memorial Park in Spanaway, WA. Following the service, a potluck BBQ will be held at the Tacoma Sportsman Club's picnic area to laugh, cry, remember and celebrate life together. Bob loved the color blue and always said it matched his eyes. And, he was rarely seen out of blue jeans, a t-shirt, and a plaid button-up - so let's make this the attire of the day.
