NCAA WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS TICKETS NOW ON SALE THROUGH TICKETMASTER AND IN-PERSON AT KIEL CENTER BOX OFFICE

2,000 ALL-SESSION TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE

ST. LOUIS - March 4, 2000 - Two weeks to go before college wrestling puts on its best show in St. Louis. Two thousand tickets to go before fans complete a "takedown" on seats at Kiel Center. One record has already been broken: never before has a region sold as many tickets to the NCAA Wrestling Championships as St. Louis. One more milestone now appears on the horizon: a sellout in the largest venue ever to host the event.

Beginning today, collegiate wrestling fans will have an even more convenient way to purchase tickets and help push Kiel Center to capacity. All-session tickets and single-day tickets for sessions five and six are now available through Ticketmaster. Tickets may be purchased by phone at 314-421-4400, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or by visiting the Kiel Center Box Office, located in the atrium of the Main Entrance at Clark Avenue and 14th Street.

All-session tickets for the NCAA Wrestling Championships cost $85. Saturday-only tickets, which admit holders to session five and session six (The Finals), are $44. Tickets are also subject to service charges and handling fees. Less than 1,000 tickets are available for the Saturday sessions.

Until now, all-session tickets for the NCAA Wrestling Championships were available only through a ticket application process. While applications will continue to be accepted, the new system provides fans a quick and easier way to pin down tickets. Fans may continue to get updated information on the Championships by calling the NCAA Wrestling Hotline at 1-800-916-9642 or by visiting www.NCAAwrestling.com.

With the 2000 NCAA Wrestling Championships two weeks away, organizers have already scored a major triumph. St. Louis has sold the most all-session tickets in the event's 69-year history. All-session sales have surpassed 15,015, meaning total ticket sales have exceeded 90,090. The previous total attendance record was 90,064, set in 1997 by the University of Northern Iowa.

The St. Louis Sports Commission and the University of Missouri host this year's Championships. Kiel Center's capacity will be 19,854 for sessions one through four and 20,756 for sessions five and six.
