World and Olympic champions to appear for signings at ASICS booth at Junior/Cadet Nationals

ASICS has announced that there will be four athletes, all who have been either World or Olympic champions or both, who will be attending the ASICS/Vaughan Junior and Cadet Nationals in Fargo, N.D. for autograph signings.

Featured superstar wrestling heroes at the ASICS booth are Olympic and World champions Dan Gable, Bruce Baumgartner and Kevin Jackson, as well as World champion Terry Brands.

The week begins with a signing two-time Olympic champion and three-time World Champion Bruce Baumgartner, who will appear on Sunday, July 15. Baumgartner won nine World and four Olympic medals during his amazing career, and was flagbearer for the United States at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Next up will be 1993 and 1995 World Champion Terry Brands, who will be available on Wednesday, July 18. Brands won a bronze medal at the 2000 Olympic Games. He is the assistant coach at the University of Iowa and a past USA Wrestling Freestyle Resident Coach.

Friday, July 20 will feature a pair of wrestling legends who were both World and Olympic champions. 

Dan Gable, a 1972 Olympic champion and 1971 World champion, makes his appearance on Friday, July 20. Gable was the most successful college coach in history at the University of Iowa, as well as a three-time Olympic Team coach.

1992 Olympic champion Kevin Jackson, who won World gold medals in 1991 and 1995, will also appear on Friday, July 20. Jackson is currently the head coach at Iowa State University, and is a past USA Wrestling Freestyle National Coach.

They’ll all be signing large posters and autograph cards free of charge. Announcement boards with their photos will be placed around the FargoDome to remind everybody of these autograph sessions.
