USA Wrestling has announced the 2012 National Junior Duals Freestyle All-Tournament Team.
The freestyle competition concluded on Saturday, with Illinois winning the team title over Iowa Blue in the finals.
There were 29 wrestlers who met the qualification standards in men’s freestyle. To qualify for the All-Tournament Team, an athlete must go undefeated for the tournament and win at least six matches.
Iowa and Oklahoma each had four selections, while Michigan and Pennsylvania had three each. A total of 16 states were represented on the Freestyle All-Tournament Team.
There were only four athletes who made All-Tournament Team in both styles, listed with their combined record for both events: Grant LaMont of Utah (15-0 at 152), J’Den Cox of Missouri (14-0 at 220), Camden Bertucci of Michigan (12-0 at 100) and Joel Dixon of Oklahoma (12-0 at 182).
Although he didn't make All-Tournament Teams in both styles based upon his number of matches, Iowa's Justin Koethe was also unbeaten for the two tournaments with a 14-0 record.
