There will be a fundraiser for U.S. Olympic women’s wrestling team member Elena Pirozkhova at Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Sunday, July 1.
The fundraiser will begin at 12:00 noon. Food that will be served will include chicken, ribs, hotdogs, hamburgers, sides, drinks and desserts.
Rampart High School is located at 8250 Lexington Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80920, which is the corner of Union and Lexington.
There will also be Elena Pirozhkova t-shirts available for purchase at the barbeque fundraiser.
Tickets for Ribs and Chicken plus drinks and sides with dessert are $15. Tickets for the Hot Dogs and Hamburgers plus sides, drink and dessert are $5. Donations are welcome.
Elena Pirozhkova is a 2012 U.S. Olympian in women’s freestyle wrestling at 63 kg/138.75 lbs. and a long-time resident athlete at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was a 2010 World silver medalist and is a top medal hopeful for the London Games.
Prior to the fundraiser, there will be an Inspiration Church service, in which those participating are most welcome. It will be held from 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. A person does not need to attend the church service if they want to attend the fundraiser, however.
2006 World champion and USA Wrestling national coach Bill Zadick will be speaking at the service. He will talk about his accomplishments and what it took to get there as a wrestler and a person.
InspireLives is the organization helping to support and organize this fundraiser.
It is a non-profit organization with a goal to financially support Olympic level wrestlers who are having difficulty funding their dream. In return, the high-profile athletes work towards inspiring youth in the community. It’s mission is to inspire others by blessing them with the support necessary to reach their full potential.
