Thorn, Marsteller, Sliga advance to FILA Cadet Nationals freestyle finals

AKRON, Ohio – The freestyle finals are now set at the FILA Cadet Nationals.
The finalists were determined after a long, grueling and entertaining day of wrestling on Saturday at the University of Akron Field House.
Returning champion Tommy Thorn of Minnesota reached the finals at 50 kg/110.25 lbs.
2011 Cadet Nationals champion Chance Marsteller of Pennsylvania advanced to the finals at 76 kg/167.5 lbs. Past Cadet Triple Crown winner Mitch Sliga of Indiana reached the finals at 85 kg/187.25 lbs.
The FILA Cadet finals are set for 9 a.m. Sunday in Akron.
The champion in each FILA Cadet weight class qualifies to represent the United States at the FILA Cadet World Championships on Aug. 21-27 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
FILA Cadets are athletes who are 15-17 years old.
