2012 U.S. Olympian Jake Herbert (Ann Arbor, Mich./New York AC) will appear live on two major nationally televised shows on Sunday, May 6.
Herbert won the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in men’s freestyle wrestling at 84 kg/185 lbs. and will represent our nation in London this summer.
Jake’s first appearance will be Sunday morning at 9:50 a.m. (EST) on the Fox & Friends Weekend show.
Herbert will be accompanied by three-time World champion and Olympic Coach Lee Kemp, Official USA Wrestling Chef Scott Cutaneo and NCAA All-American P.J. Gillespie of Hofstra in the segment to discuss proper nutrition for Olympic athletes. This appearance will also promote the New Jersey Drive of Champions, a fundraising event scheduled for the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. on Monday, June 4.

Herbert’s second appearance will also be Sunday, at 1:15 p.m. (EST) on MSNBC’s “Weekends with Alex Witt,†where he will discuss his Olympic journey.

Herbert was a 2009 World silver medalist and a two-time bronze medalist at the World University Championships. The Northwestern University graduate is also a two-time U.S. Open champion and 2011 Pan American Games champion. He currently is training with the Cliff Keen WC in Ann Arbor, Mich.
While earning his degree in communications, Herbert was a two-time NCAA champion and four-time All-American, where he was coached by Tim Cysewski. In 2009, Herbert won the Dan Hodge Trophy as the nation’s top college wrestler, and was named Big Ten Male Athlete of the Year. Herbert is a native of Pennsylvania, and wrestled for North Allegheny High School, winning a state championship in 2003.
